Concert Visuals (2023)

Using memories as a sample.

To step away from A.I. generation, we dove into our camera rolls for video samples. The team and the musician (Samvel Krajian) shifted through 20,000+ personal photos. We searched for any videos and photos that we could use in our composition. Rounds of elimination reduced our library to a couple of hundred elements. The rest we captured on set.

All background and foreground elements began as a memory. Our collected memories became what you see here.

Interactive visuals.

This visualizer was developed to be a part of an interactive concert. An audience, scanned by our crew, could see themselves dancing on screen. The studio's budgetary restraints forced us to axe this idea. The rest of the idea remained as an audio-reactive installation.

Elements on the screen respond to music or any input sound. The technical skill of Samvel and the team allowed us to pair visual cues with musical ones. The result was an ambient visual piece that could pair with almost anything. The seamless looped nature of the piece allows it to play and react to a setlist, forever. All while responding to its environment.
