We wondered if machine tools could capture the aesthetics of nature. Our intention with Once Upon A Strawberry Meeting was to step away from loud visuals. We made a dialogue-free story and focused on storybook storytelling.
A new method for compositing improved the aesthetic quality of the animation. The video is a compilation of both filmed and sampled footage. Still, a bulk of the work relies on animators. Our new process of visual sampling allowed us to work with A.I. to stylize individual elements. Those elements are then composited into a scene.
